Breastfeeding and infant feeding training available
Over the past 15 years, I have delivered a variety of training on breastfeeding and infant feeding that can be adapted for different audiences and settings.
I am experienced in delivering training to peer supporters, health professionals and sessions for parents both antenatally and postnatally. I have facilitated at in-person conferences, remote conferences nationally and internationally and in small group settings. I have worked with student midwives, student health visitors, GPs and other doctors and a range of breastfeeding specialists.
I have previously prepared sessions on responsive feeding, the role of partners, tandem breastfeeding, concerns around infant weight gain, concerns around low milk supply, oversupply, common early problems, supporting breastfeeding older babies, positioning and attachment and stopping breastfeeding. I am happy to deliver any session within my remit as an IBCLC.
I have developed a series of workshops for children at different ages that builds on my experience as a primary school teacher and the author of The Breast Book. The sessions are an age appropriate way to normalize breastfeeding and explore concepts such as body image and use of social media.
I regularly offer FREE training sessions via Zoom for student health visitors and any other interested parties. The next session with availability is on Wednesday 10th May at 10am. To join this session, please use this link: form.jotform.com/230642943566360
I also offer Zoom sessions for professionals on supporting the weaning process/ ending breastfeeding. My March session is full but I will post here, and on social media, when the next session is available.
I can also speak to you about bespoke training for your setting that suits your needs and is sympathetic to your budget.
